Certain file formats permit you to attach a palette to your picture when you save it. The next time you open your file, it will display using the colors contained in this palette.
On the File menu, click Save As.
In the Save as type box, do one of the following:
To save your picture in GIF format, click GIF (*.gif).
To save your picture in PNG format, click Portable Network Graphics (*.png).
To save your picture in PCX format, click PC Paintbrush (*.pcx).
To save your picture in TGA format, click Targa (*.tga).
To save your picture in BMP format, click Windows Bitmaps (*.bmp; *.dib).
Click Options.
In the Convert to box, click Palette.
In the Palette box, click the palette you want to save with your picture.
Click OK.
Do one of the following.
To save the picture in a different folder, click a different drive in the Save in list, or double-click a different folder in the folder list.
To save the picture in a new folder, click Create New Folder.
If you convert from True Color to a palette, you may notice some deterioration in color quality when you reopen the picture in PhotoDraw. This is because palettes are limited to 256 colors. If you want to retain full color fidelity, you should save a copy of your file in a true color file format such as MIX
